| As the earliest city open to the world in the Chinese history, Guangzhou takes pride of its good relationship with foreign companies all around the world. The famous "Canton Fair" is held twice a year, attracting overseas buyers from all kinds of businesses. Located 120km from Hong Kong, plus a new underground railway station connected to the new Baiyun International Airport, Guangzhou consolidates its importance as the centre of the Pearl River Delta economy zone. | I must say Guangzhou has the best bus network -- probably not completely fair to say among the world, but surely a winner compared to Sydney! Buses come very frequently in about every 15 minutes, with signs at all the stops and on the buses indicating every stop they will pass by, where they come from and where they are going to. Can't read the words for some reason? Just listen! Broadcast on the buses for every stop, with Cantonese, Mandarin, and, in some updated buses, English! What's more, it costs only about $1-$2RMB (about $0.15-$0.30 AUD)for the whole trip, not depending on the distance but as far as you wish to go, same price!! In one word, the complete opposite...

| No point going to bed early in Guangzhou, because the real entertainment comes at night! No matter if you want to have a drink in a local bar, a big dance in a disco, a party in a club with performance, a good sing in a Karaoke bar, a quiet chat in a cafe, or a Xiaoye (meal after supper) at the table along the Pearl River, choices are millions! And remember, these are cheap!!!!
