Los Gauchitos

If you’re seeking authentic Uruguayan fare, Los Gauchitos is the only place to go. Unfortunately, some of the waitstaff at this delicious restaurant are aware of its unique status, and may be a bit apathetic in their service. No matter: once the food arrives you will know exactly what you were waiting for.
The restaurant boasts an array of Uruguayan-style pizzas and pastas, but I suggest saving your appetite for one of the succulent steaks or an authentic sandwich known as un Chivito – pork layered with ham, cheese, egg and other traditional ingredients.
If you don’t have room for one of their rich desserts, stop by the Los Gauchitos deli next door and take home some delicious pastries. Your loved ones will appreciate it!
