A Saturday in Prenzlauer Berg

Prenzlauer Berg is arguably the most picturesque, hip, and fashionable neighbourhood in Berlin today (2008). Its beauty IS spellbinding, from the historical buildings to the weekend market at Kollwitz Platz, the abundance of cute cafés and stylish restaurants etc.
You hear quite a bit of English when walking along, from well-heeled tourists to expats who prefer the international scene of Prenzlauer Berg to the 'old West', like e.g. Savigny Platz which seems slightly faded compared to Prenzlauer Berg or Mitte.
For those with kids: what a great playground in the middle of the market!
